Presents…. The 60th Anniversary of the Goodyear Trophy DATES: May 4-5, 2007 LOCATION: Holiday Inn-Airport, Brook Park, Cleveland, Ohio The 23rd Annual International Air Racing History Symposium will feature the 60th Anniversary of the first 190 Cu. In. Class/Formula One midget race, and other aspects of air racing history; with illustrated talks by (among others) – SKIP HOLM, veteran Unlimited racepilot, 3-Time Reno winner BILL BRENNAND, winner of the 1947 and 1949 Goodyear Trophy Races TOM MATOWITZ and KARL ENGELSKIRGER, restorers of Ben Howard’s “Ike” and “Mike” ROY HOUCHIN, historian, on the career of midget racing great Bill Falck BOB ODEGAARD, restorer of #57 Goodyear F2G Corsair, which was flown to 3rd place in the 1949 Thompson Trophy Race, and then raced by Odegaard at Reno in 2006 PAT HALLORAN, pilot of replicas of the deH Comet “Grosvenor House”, the Schoenfeldt “Firecracker” and others. In addition to talks and panel discussions, the pilots and other speakers will be available for conversations. The 6th Floor Skyline Ballroom will be lined with displays of photos, models, paintings, plans and memorabilia from all eras of airplane racing. There will be a silent auction of a wide variety of racing-related items, including race programs, scale models, books, magazines, etc. Admission for the weekend’s events will cost $40 for members of the Society who register in advance, $45 for non-member adults and members who pay at the door, and $20 for those under 18 years of age. The Saturday evening banquet costs $35 per person.
